Tips for a Successful Long Distance Relocation

1. Planning Ahead

A lot can be said and  written but the best way to make sure your Long distance moves goes smoothly is to  plan ahead!. Check out moving companies in your area several months before your moving.Summertime is movers busy time and they reach their capacity, planning ahead you won’t have to look for a mover at the last minute.

4. Consider Furniture Placement Locations

Plan Plan Plan  and we'll say it again Plan where you want placing  all of your furniture at  your new home, and make sure everything is in the right size. Large or oversize items needs to fit through the stairwells and around tight corners. Older houses sometimes have tight stairwells that cannot accommodate all types of items.

 

5. Label Boxes

As part of the Planning agenda If you are packing yourself for the relocation, label your boxes while you are packing in a clear and methodical way - make also a list of the boxes and whats inside to go a long with the labeling. Write outside of each box a list of the items that inside. Mark the room the box should be place into in the new house or apartment. Don't forget to mark where the TV remote control is!
